A Season of Gratitude, Growth, and Gentle Turning Inward

with Jin Shin Jyutsu as My Guide

Dear friends,

As this fall’s “JSJ for You and Your Animal Companions” online course comes to a close, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on the beautiful gatherings we’ve shared these past months. Each in-person class has been its own kind of magic—filled with open hearts, learning hands, and the quiet wisdom of the animals who continue to teach us so much.

Rescues and sanctuaries are places of constant change, and the gentle addition of JSJ makes those changes smoother and more loving. My students and I offered JSJ to ease transitions—from a big steer moving to a ranch with a whole herd of cows to a litter of kittens settling into new homes with separate loving families.

A special “client” and newly certified Practitioners

Now, as the air turns softer and still, I’m feeling called to turn inward for a time. I’ll be spending the coming months working on my second book—an exploration of the many lessons the animals have offered me as I’ve adapted the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu for work with diverse species over the last three decades. Their stories continue to unfold, guiding me (and I hope, all of us) toward deeper understanding, compassion, and trust in life’s rhythms.

While the seasons slow down, I’m also planning a few cozy online webinars to stay connected and inspired.
What topics interest you most? I would love your input—self-help flows, stories from the refuge, energy work for your own animals, or something else on your heart? Drop me a line, and you might just inspire a webinar designed especially for you and your animals!

Closer to home, I’m fostering Bob—a gentle Alaqua dog recovering from hip surgery. He was our demo dog at my four-day class at the refuge in early October and is an absolute love. The staff members at the refuge simply don’t have enough time for him to receive all the therapy he needs. At our house, he’s getting massage, water and heat therapy, good food—and of course, JSJ and love from the whole tribe. (Yes! I think the Queen likes him!)

Foster Bob

He will technically remain a medical foster for a while. Caring for him has become a daily reminder of resilience, patience, and the cumulative nature of JSJ.

Thank you for being part of this growing circle and for the work you each do to bring more harmony to animals and people alike. I look forward to reconnecting soon—with new stories, insights, and perhaps a few updates from Bob’s journey, too.

With gratitude and warmth,

~ Adele
