Being Present

through JSJ with animals

Hello my friends! I am hoping that spring is starting to show you all its beauty and whispering about rebirth and new possibilities!

I have some questions I would like to ask of you and would so appreciate your feedback.  I know… and I think most of you know… that this Art really works with the animals in our lives. But it is really a challenge to figure out  how to get the word out about it in a meaningful way.  So I would like to ask…

*   Do you have your own stories/videos/pictures of sharing the work with animals that you are willing to share within this sweet community?

*   Do you have friends who need to get our newsletter? Can you share their email addresses with us?

*   Are you on social media? If so, would you be willing to share some of my posts? Or even just add a comment?  (Links to all are below my signature)

*    What topics do you want covered in a webinar or even long form class? Now is the time to get your wishes fulfilled!

*    Are you willing to organize a local animal JSJ class and have either me or one of my faculty come teach?

*   Do you work with a rescue or shelter? If I offer a free training for rescues, can you help get the word out where you work or volunteer?

*    Do you have any young person in your life who is looking for a part time job and might be interested in an internship helping me promote the work on social media?

I told you I had a lot of questions!

I also want to let you know about summer classes in the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as fall classes in the Northeast of the US, and  Alaqua Animal Rescue where I am on staff in the Panhandle of Florida. (see https://www.jsjforyouranimal.com/classes).

During this moment between classes has allowed me to focus my energy on a new project…. I have started working on my second book. It is going to be a series of stories about all the animals who have taught me lessons on how to share Jin Shin Jyutsu with them. As with most writing, it is fun… and kind of grueling. After writing, I sometimes feel like some of the most important animals in my life are coming close for a visit.  I am planning on having lessons and practical applications after each story to make the work more accessible. Stay tuned … but don’t quite hold your breath.

I hate to finish on a down note, but I know how many of you have learned from and loved my Portuguese Water Dog, Carmen. She came from a horrible abuse case years ago and we shared almost 7 years of love and joy. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her dad and me, brother Scirocco and kitty sister, Giannina Mia on March 14th.  This is a short except from the story I have been working on about her… (rough draft!)

The last lesson my girl shared with me before she left her body was so wildly powerful. I was lying with her on the couch, gently holding the 4’s. This is the most common “Safety Energy Lock” used to allow for a gentle departure from the physical body. SEL 4 came into the universe meaning “the Window Allowing in Light and Air, representing Knowledge and Consciousness.” I have used it dozens of times over the years and found it makes for an easier passing for both the Be-ing leaving and those staying behind.  I thought we were settling in and I was listening with my hands for the pulses to start their beautiful dance, when Carmen reached up with her left front paw and moved my hand off the 4’s, pushing it down her back. She then moved her whole body a bit forward under my hand till she had my hand directly on her left SEL 23, at the base of the back of the ribs. She turned her head to make direct eye contact, as if to make sure I fully got her message. Safety Energy Lock 23 - “the Controller of My Destiny.”  Goose pimples covered my arms, tears filled my eyes.  Yes, we were doing what she wanted and she was in charge of her own life path. I was honored to “Be” with her and I will always be grateful for our time together.

Sending you light as the spring flowers bloom.
