Unconditional Love

through JSJ with animals

Greetings my friend! There is so much to share with you, so please read to the end. I am including a “touching” story, a question for you and info about some great classes coming up.

A few days ago I witnessed a beautiful example of this work I love so much and how it can be shared between humans and animals… but it was not what I had expected! I am still grinning days later and wanted to share this with you.

I run a program through Alaqua Animal Refuge where each month, several volunteers and I take some carefully chosen dogs to a few local senior living facilities, where the residents, the dogs and the volunteers all get great joy out of being with each other.  I look for calm dogs, who can be with other dogs and new people. The goal is to guide the residents in sharing some Jin Shin Jyutsu with the refuge dogs. Sometimes this works beautifully, but sometimes they just want to pet the dogs and get some wet kisses and tell us stories about the dogs they have loved in their lives. Whatever unfolds, the real joy in the room is palpable.

The twist in this visit was really special and has me thinking about the very essence of the work. I had a beautiful Australian Shepherd on a leash as we entered one of the facilities. This little boy, Roux, is an amazing hugger. He has the desire to hug everybody he meets… and he jumps up so gently that this is totally acceptable even with some of these older, frail folks. We had barely entered when he fixed his gaze on a slight woman seated on a couch and it was clear he wanted to give her one of his super-duper hugs. He got directly in front of her, made eye contact and placed both front paws so lightly on her lap. She was enthralled. He gazed deeply into her eyes as she spoke softly to him. Then he moved his left front paw up to the center of her breast bone. In JSJ, that is Safety Energy Lock 13, which represents “Unconditional Love and the Key to the Exhale.” The two of them sat transfixed for several minutes. Then the woman let out a deep breath, as tears welled up in her eyes. She said, “He knows. He feels it… the doctor had just told me that the pneumonia had spread to both of my lungs. But right now it does not hurt to breathe. He did that.”

Hmmmmm… Jin Shin Jyutsu … translated as the “Art of the Creator through Compassionate Be-ing of Knowledge.” Silly me… I thought the people would help the animals and in doing so, would be harmonized. Looks like one more example of our understanding being more limited than the reality of the full circle of the breath of life!

Here is the question… What part of JSJ for Animals do you want to learn more about? I am thinking about offering some webinars this spring but would like to tailor them to your interests and needs. Drop me an email at [email protected] or send a Facebook or Instagram private message or comment. Now is the chance to get exactly the info you have been wanting!

And classes… I am starting to look forward to summer, which means I will be teaching in Switzerland (June 25-29)  and the Netherlands (July 3-6) and would love to get to meet you in person!  You can find all the details at https://www.jsjforyouranimal.com/classes .

Even though I have been practicing the Art since 1990, I still know I have more to learn. So I am excited about getting to be a student in New Orleans, where Iole Lebensztajn is teaching a 5-day basic seminar. Please consider joining us!  You can see details here:

I am thankful we are together on this journey sharing harmony and making the world a better place for all Be-ings!
